What a great thing you've done here, Chris. Your pictures are wonderful and it must be a real "treat" (as we might say here in The States) to be able to get out to these sites at different times of the day. My wife and I will be making the rounds of many of these RSCs this summer -- also visiting the Loch Tay, Crieff, and Perth areas. Guess you might consider us megalithomaniacs. Hope our pictures turn out as nicely as yours. Thanks for all your efforts to inspire the rest of us to take the time to visit these sites, interact with the stones, drink in the atmosphere, and listen to what's being spoken.

Greetings,

I have just come across your site and really enjoy what you have done. I was at the Loupin Stains last summer but did not have time to see the Girdle Stains. I really liked this spot and hope to get back to both next Spring. I am about done with a book I have been working on for several years about my visits to the stones. Best wishes. I will keep checking for updates. Patrick

Just saw this . . .meant no disrespect BUT the whole grouping is awesome!! I stop by at least once every couple of months for some grounding time!!! I took my dogs once and got a big surprise. The youngest is pretty active and noisybut as we walked down the path towards the large circle, he settled down and when I sat on one of the stone he lay down and put his head on his paws!!

My family history tell of the vast lake that stretched from York to Scarborough these stones were nothing more than a guide to the boat people, an old type of lighthouse (without the light). If you wanted a slice of the business then you had to go the extra mile to get it. Why people mix these up with the circles I dont know.

"These pictures don’t do them justice" Gee, thanks Pam ;-)

They were taken back in 2004, on my old camera. We moved to Scotland a year later & I've not been back since. These stones are fantastic but do suffer a lot of damage from morons unfortunately.

These were my first stones and worth the visit!! These pictures don't do them justice!! I was almost ready to give up my search when out of the corner of my eye, I caught the King's Stone. It is in a field about halfway up a rise surrounded by a fence to protect it. Walking around to the back there are some flat stones just outside of the fence line. If you walk up the remainder of the rise there is a small flat stone circle in which some insensitive, illiterate beings had built a campfire!! Across the lane is a sign that talks about the Stones. As you enter and turn right, there is a large circle of stones. I walked the circle then saw in the distance the Whispering Knights. I walked across the field to it. It is also surrounded by a fence but is still very impressive.
